‘NHRC Bill provisions will affect transitional justice’

The government has registered the bill to amend the National Human Rights Commission Act in the Parliament. Although the government has been criticised for the bill proposing to give the Attorney General overriding power against recommendations of the rights body, it seems to be in no mood to relent on the issue.
